Visual identity for a song writing contest I’ve worked with since 2024. Commissioned by Icelandic Ministry of Culture and Business Affairs, and Art for All.

Málæði is an annual national song writing competition for teens ages 14-16.

When designing this I was inspired by the designs I felt drawn to as a teen in the early 2000’s.

The client wasn’t originally convinced by the pitch. Until they showed the designs to our main demographic: teens. They loved it! They thought it looked interesting, different and cool.

Big Ideas, Real Impact

The contest is televised by RÚV each year. The most famous singers and songwriters in the country would mentor the young talents and then perform their songs.
